how to fast during ramadan kareem

The question of how to fast during ramadan kareem, might be posed by a number of people including the muslims. Ramadan is the yearly month of fast ordained by God (the only and one God of the worlds. If you are a christian do not confuse this Jesus Christ). Jesus Christ is one of God's chosen messengers to earth.

How do you perform ramadan? You need to have the intention to fast. You are fasting to God. It is a direct order from God in his the holly book the Quran.

In addition to the intention you need to be clean. You take a bath (called at ghussul) to be clean, for instance if you have had a sexual relationship.

People think that fasting is going hungry only. It is not the case. You need to abstain from a number of things, and eating is just one of them. You can not drink, eat, or smoke. You also can not lie, or commit any wrong during your fast. You need even to control your eyes, your heart, and you thoughts.

You will notice that there are a lot of things that we do not realize we do until we do that ramadan fast.

The period of fasting is from Imsak to Iftar (dusk to sunset). During the night you can do as normal, but of course you should never do wrongs things as it is against God's rules at anytime whether it is Ramadan or not Ramadan.

Happy Ramadan! If you are a new Muslim or a prospective Muslim do not worry. The most important part is the intention. We all make mistakes. It is human nature. However, with good intentions and acts, you will notice a huge difference in your life here, and hopefully in the hereafter. With your ramadan fasting, you will be able to add to your good deeds to defend yourself in front of the most high on the day of Judgement.

Pray for me please. For those of you who are Muslims, if I am making mistakes please correct me. If you appreciate something good, do not hesitate to point it out as it is useful not only to yours truly but also to the readers of this blog.
